AT the height of the pandemic, we celebrated the culture of giving with the emergence of community pantries. People shared what they had with those in need. At a time when being secure meant having food and other basics stocked up in our own homes because of too much uncertainty, people did not mind giving up some of them to enable others to feel relief in the face of the virus' onslaught.
