CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: Power consumers in the province have more reasons to celebrate the holiday season after the local electric cooperative here announced a P1 cut on power tariffs.
Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) General Manager Humphrey Dolor, in a post on his social media page on Wednesday, said that the generation charge, or the amount paid by the cooperative to power suppliers, had gone down by P0.87/kilowatt per hour (kWh). The systems loss was also down because of Ormeco's aggressive campaign to improve its power supply cables and have efficient energy delivery to its customers.
