ZAMBOANGA CITY: A gunman who shot and killed a circus employee was beaten to death by an angry mob in Pagadian City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, police said Friday.

Police said the 44-year-old suspect, Lumamba Aliyon Bundas, was caught by the mob trying to escape after fatally shooting Niña Lou Aguilar Flores, 35, at the circus late Thursday, December 22, in Aurora town. The woman, who worked as a "controller" at the circus, was watching a betting game when she was shot several times in the head.
