A MUNTINLUPA CITY-BASED trading company is now the subject of an investigation by the Bureau of Customs (BoC) in connection with its alleged illegal importation of onions and other agricultural products.
Customs Commissioner Yogi Felimon Ruiz ordered the investigation on Friday against Taculog J International Consumer Goods Trading at Block 4, Lot 7 Mariategui HMOA, Alabang, Muntinlupa City after it was discovered by intelligence operatives of the Manila International Container Port (MICP) that it is the lone consignee of 20 containers of smuggled agricultural products worth P171.35 million.
