Meralco seeks 480 MW from suppliers for 2023

Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) on Friday said it had started the competitive selection process (CSP) for 480 megawatts (MW) of supply meant to address an expected increase in demand starting next year.

The Department of Energy has approved the terms of reference (TOR) for Meralco's 300-MW peaking requirement for February 26, 2023 to July 25, 2023 and 180 MW in baseload supply for February 26, 2023 to February 25, 2024.
