SMX Convention Center Clark was recently accorded its accreditation from the Department of Tourism (DoT). The DoT Accreditation is a comprehensive program that ensures tourism-based businesses and enterprises in the country can meet the minimum standards and procedures stipulated under Republic Act 9593, the 'Tourism Act of 2009.' It acknowledges tourism as an indispensable element of the national economy and an industry of national interest and importance. The main objective of this policy is to boost tourism in the country with the proper implementation of standards and procedures to guarantee the quality of services provided by tourism enterprises.

SMX Convention Center Clark is the second stand-alone convention center of SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) following SMX Manila.
