THE Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said it is investigating five personalities who are likely candidates to succeed Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Ma. Sison who died in the Netherlands on Friday last week.

"We are looking at personalities, if I am not mistaken around three or five. So far, I am not at liberty to disclose their names, we are still studying the matter," Col. Rederico "Red" Maranan, PNP Public Information chief, said at the Laging Handa Public Briefing.
