THE 5,000-kilometer submarine cable system of the Southeast Asia Hainan-Hong Kong Express Cable System (SEA-H2X) consortium is on track to be online by 2024 and will connect Hong Kong, Hainan in China, the Philippines, Thailand, East Malaysia and Singapore.
This announcement comes as consortium members from China Mobile International Ltd., China Unicom Global, Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. and PPTEL SEA H2X Sdn Bhd, together with infrastructure builder HMN Technologies Co. Ltd., convened in Manila to continue discussing SEA-H2X's technical implementation.
