2022 GDP growth likely to top target

ECONOMIC growth will likely exceed target this year given expectations of a 'robust' fourth quarter, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan said on Monday.

Gross domestic product (GDP) growth averaged 7.7 percent as of end-September, above the government's full-year goal of 6.5 to 7.5 percent, following a 7.6-percent third-quarter expansion.
