IN celebration of the National Architecture Week (NAW), the Philippine Architecture Festival 2022, the UAP (United Architects of the Philippines) Parañaque Palanyag Chapter, in collaboration with the six chapters of the UAP — the UAP Tarlac Kublahi Chapter, UAP Clark Chapter, UAP Pampanga Centro Chapter, UAP Bataan Peninsulares Chapter, UAP Angeles Chapter and the UAP Ylocos Vigan Chapter — voluntarily visited the Philippine Baptist Orphanage Ministry to conduct gift giving and architecture activity for kids. This is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) project and NAW activity for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
The purpose of this initiative is to inform the public of the existence of an orphanage in Barangay Pandacaqui, Mexico, Pampanga, and to encourage people, especially nongovernment organizations, to extend aid to this institution. The said orphanage is sponsored by New Life Baptist Church housing approximately 70 kids, and are being nurtured and directed by Pastor Jeremy Ferguson, a missionary to the Philippines from Highland Missionary Baptist Church in Gainesville, Florida. This ministry strives to rescue children and bring them up in the nurture of a family style facility to provide physical needs and a loving family environment. Currently, they are accepting donations in cash and in kind for the rescued children from various areas of the Philippines.
