IMUS CITY, Cavite: More than P150 million worth of fake clothes, shoes and other items were seized by the Bureau of Customs (BoC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a warehouse here on Thursday, December 15.The operation was carried out by the BoC and PNP through the Letter of Authority signed by Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Rui against Hong Yun Real Estate Group Inc., whose warehouse is located along M. Salud Road, Barangay Alapan II-A, Imus, Cavite.Officials were surprised by the immense number of counterfeit clothes, shoes and other merchandise with no corresponding permits.The BoC agents also inspected the sealed boxes and found different types of fake ready-to-wear garments with brands such as Dickies, Mossimo, Bench, Levi's, Puma, Fila, Mickey Mouse and Hello Kitty, among others.According to the BoC, the counterfeit products were supposed to be sold in Christmas bazaars and night markets.
