ENRAGED parents whose children have either died or been continuously suffering allegedly after their inoculation with the anti-dengue Dengvaxia vaccine have threatened to sue Department of Justice (DoJ) prosecutors for allegedly dilly-dallying in filing criminal cases against former Health secretary and now Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin before the Regional Trial Court (RTC).
The parents, belonging to the Samahan ng Magulang, Anak ay Biktima ng Dengvaxia (SMABD) led by their president Sumachen Dominguez, told members of the Quezon City Press Club in a news conference at the central office of the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) that they might be forced to file a case against the DoJ prosecutors for apparently not being serious in pursuing the criminal charges against Garin and more than 30 other respondents, including former Department of Health secretary Francisco Duque 3rd and Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccine manufacturer.
