ADB, IMF back sovereign wealth fund – Budget chief

BUDGET Secretary Amenah Pangandaman on Wednesday said the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the US-based think tank Milken Institute expressed support for the Philippines to establish a sovereign wealth fund (SWF).

She said discussions on the creation of an SWF began during the Duterte administration when Benjamin Diokno was the Finance secretary and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) governor.
