FORMER Land Transportation Office (LTO) chief Teofilo Guadiz 3rd said on Wednesday that he is prepared to face the challenges that comes with his new post as chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

"I admit that work at the LTFRB will not be easy," said Guadiz in a short statement issued after taking his oath of office. "Our public transport sector is beset with so many deeply rooted issues and challenges. However, what I can assure the public transport sector and our riding public is that I am ready and determined to face those challenges, and offer possible solutions to the best of my ability."
