PSEi basically flat; peso nears P56:$1

The stock market barely moved anew while the peso threatened to fall back to the P56:$1 level on Tuesday as investors continued to await key data releases and the final form of expected interest rate hikes.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) lost 2.82 points or 0.04 percent to close at 6,582.38 while the broader All Shares went down 5.34 points or 0.16 percent to 3,431.65.
