Criminal complaints have been filed by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) against four individuals alleged to be operating businesses selling smuggled and untaxed vape products.
The accused, who were not identified, were charged with violating Republic Act 11346, which raised taxes on tobacco products and also imposed excise taxes on heated tobacco/vapor products, as well as the National Internal Revenue Code.
