Foreign investments drop to $626M in Sept

Net foreign direct investments (FDI) shrank to $626 million in September, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported on Monday, 7.9 percent lower compared to the $680 million posted a year earlier.

'The decline in FDI net inflows reflected the decrease in non-residents' net investments in debt instruments, which more than offset the growth in their net equity capital placements,' the central bank said in a statement.
