Last December 5, I went to Tagum City as part of the jury of the Mindanao Film Festival (MFF), which is currently celebrating its 20th year.
Tracing its roots back to 2003, the MFF is the longest-running regional film festival in the Philippines and the longest-running independent film festival in the country, even older than Cinemalaya.
