UP sinks Ateneo, on cusp of historic two straight titles in one year

Defending champ University of the Philippines (UP) moved on the cusp of a historic two straight titles in one year after a 72-66 Game One win over Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 85 men's basketball Finals on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Fighting Maroons hit timely baskets and held steady on their defense down the stretch to subdue the Blue Eagles and win the game before 18,211 fans in attendance.
