Peso, stocks improve as trading week ends

Both the peso and the stock market ended the trading week on a positive note, the currency strengthening by eight centavos to P55.37 against the US dollar and the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) adding 54.96 points to close at 6,580.12.

The broader All Shares also gained 11.54 points to 3,437.40.
