A frontal challenge

FIRST THINGS FIRST

IT is not an armed challenge, nor is it coming from hostile parties. It is presented rather as a move to help President Bongbong Marcos (BBM) weather the current economic storm, particularly the rising food crisis, by turning to imports rather than to what our local farmers can produce.

The move is said to be coming from BBM's economic managers, some of whom the public admires. But some see it as a frontal challenge to a major policy of the BBM government.
