Jackfruit is one example of a versatile ingredient. The ripe jackfruit is used in making turon (or banana lumpia), or eaten as is for dessert. The unripe one, also known as young jackfruit, is commonly used to make ginataang langka (young jackfruit in coconut) which is a great and sustainable vegetable dish to include in your meal rotation.
