Defending champion University of the Philippines (UP) marched back to the championship round after weathering a gutsy stand by National University (NU) with a 69-61 victory in their semifinal match on Wednesday in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 85 men's basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Bulldogs erased the Fighting Maroons' 54-45 lead with a 16-4 run to take the upper hand at 61-58 with 3:03 left in the fourth quarter.
