Onion smugglers face economic sabotage rap

(UPDATE) FARMERS' group Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) President Rosendo So on Tuesday said that they are coordinating with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Bureau of Customs (BoC) for the filing of economic sabotage complaint against those behind the entry of at least P34 million smuggled white onions in the country.

In an interview with The Manila Times, So said that Sinag will lodge the case at the Manila Prosecutors' Office next week.
