MVP eyes Chinese firm as technical partner in SC72 exploration

Tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan said the consortium behind Service Contract 72 that he leads had recent talks with a Chinese company as part of its search for a technical partner to proceed with the exploration of the Recto Bank oil and gas field in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

In an interview with reporters on Tuesday night, Pangilinan said the discussions was held 'only one or two months ago.'
