(UPDATE) THE government is considering issuing suggested retail price (SRP) for meat products amid the increasing retail prices of pork in wet markets.

Agriculture Assistant Secretary Kristine Evangelista said in a radio interview that based on the consultation with hog raisers, the farmgate price of pork was pegged at less than P200 per kilo. The retail prices in wet markets range from P300 to 370 per kilo.
