Solarius launches EV charging stations

SOLARIUS EV Charging, a sister company of solar energy provider Solarius Energy, will build a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations nationwide with the first in Fairmont Hotel in Makati. The company plans to expand to up to 60 charging stations nationwide in the first quarter of 2023, and up to nearly 500 locations in 2025.'We're delighted that Fairmont Raffles Hotel in Makati is our first location partner in Metro Manila. Accor group is leading the hospitality sector to provide convenient EV charging facilities for its guests and shares Solarius' vision of accelerating the shift to electric mobility in the Philippines,' Solarius Chief Executive Officer Peter Wilson said in a statement. The company's initiative is to put up chargers in places such as hotels, resorts, malls and many such areas, allowing for what is called destination charging. It will supply free charging stations to qualified partners for those areas, and will also offer building EV charging solutions to private residences such as condominiums as well.'We are happy to partner with Solarius EV Charging as we share the same vision of promoting clean energy and providing convenience to our EV driving guests. We look forward to launching and setting into motion more sustainability milestones aligned with our Planet 21 thrust,' Fairmont Hotel Manager Aubrey Ada added.Charging sessions are arranged by scanning the QR code at each station, and for convenience, EV users can see and pay their charging bills through the Solarius mobile application, which can be downloaded for free from Apple's App Store and Google Play Store, with various modes of payment such as credit card or Gcash.
