HONG KONG: Most stocks advanced on Monday as traders welcomed more easing of strict coronavirus containment measures in China that have hammered the world's second-largest economy.

The moves helped offset a forecast-busting United States jobs report that dented hopes that the Federal Reserve (Fed) would take a softer approach to hiking interest rates in its battle against decades-high inflation.
