Petro Gazz outlasts Cignal, moves on cusp of second straight title

Defending champ Petro Gazz pulls off a hard-earned sweep, 25-21, 27-25, 37-35, after an extended third set against Cignal to seize Game One of their best-of-3 finals series in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Lindsey Vander Weide unleashed 34 points including the last three that ended that extended their third set, as she moved the Angels on the cusp of their second straight title.
