Luzon grid on yellow alert as 5 plants experience outages

THE National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) issued a yellow alert over the Luzon power grid on Thursday after five of its units with a combined capacity of 2,115 megawatts (MW) experienced forced outages.

The yellow alert was raised from 1:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
