INFLATION could have soared to as much as 8.2 percent in November due to higher food, electricity and cooking gas prices, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said late on Tuesday.

Following October's near 14-year high of 7.7 percent, the central bank said consumer price growth likely hit 7.4 to 8.2 percent last month.
