GRAND HYATT Manila officially sparked the beginning of the Yuletide season, as it recently held its anticipated annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the hotel's grand lobby. This year's theme, "Dreaming of a grand Christmas," showcased the hotel's towering 24-foot Christmas tree, decorated in glittering silver and shades of teal. Grand Hyatt Manila General Manager Gottfried Bogensperger led the ceremonial affair with an inspiring speech about the true spirit of Christmas and the hotel's initiatives to help communities in need. The illuminated grand lobby was serenaded with a medley of festive hymns by the powerful voice of Rachelle Gerodias and Qu4tro classical singers alongside an interpretative ballet performance with a play of lights by the Ellipsis dancers. The ceremony was hosted by one of the country's best live event hosts, Issa Litton.

Grand Hyatt Manila's sustainable commitment remained the highlight of the event. This year, the hotel continued to support its nonprofit partner, Urban Program for Livelihood Finance and Training or more commonly known as UPLiFT, with the production of hand-poured scented candles, made of natural wax, infused with a special blend of essential oils. This bespoke candle collection was exclusively available at Florentine, located at the ground level of the hotel. The initiative of Grand Hyatt and UPLift continued to provide sustainable sources of livelihood for various Philippine artisans to help in their day-to-day lives.
