Rice, corn stocks higher as of Oct 1

THE country recorded higher rice and corn inventories as of October 1, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Monday.

At 2.08 million metric tons (MMT), the rice stock was 6.5 percent higher than the 1.954 MMT recorded a year earlier. Month on month, the increase was a larger 43.5 percent compared to September's 1.45 MMT.
