LGUs to share best practices

BACOLOD CITY: In another sign of collaboration between two local government units (LGUs), Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has approved sharing of 'good practices' of the provincial government with the Bacolod City government. Rayfrando Diaz, provincial administrator, on Wednesday said he recently met with his counterpart in the city government, Pacifico Maghari, and city legal officer Romeo Carlos Ting to discuss the synergy between the city and the province. The governor has already approved the sharing of Capitol Cab, system personnel information system and procurement systems, which are all digitized, Diaz also said. He added that the province has developed systems through applications 'without much cost to the province.' Diaz is among three capitol executives hired by Bacolod City Mayor Alfredo 'Albee' Benitez as pro bono consultants. He is consultant to Benitez for administrative matters and systems review, Dr. Mary Ann Maestral as consultant for health and hospital concerns and Lucille Gelvolea as consultant for special projects and economic affairs. Another consultant is Valerie Ann Hollero for health insurance and health care.
