PH improves FIBA ranking

GILAS Pilipinas' recent back-to-back victories over Jordan and Saudi Arabia in the fifth window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers augured well for the Philippines, which moved one level up in the lat-est FIBA World rankings for men.

The national side, mentored by coach Chot Reyes, rapped Jordan, 74-66, in Amman before following that up with a 76-63 triumph against Saudi Arabia in Jeddah to post a two-game sweep of its away games in the fifth window.
