BSP to raise rates along with Fed

MONETARY authorities will raise key interest rates further if the US Federal Reserve continues with its policy tightening, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) chief said on Friday.

'If the Fed does 50 [basis points], we cannot have zero right? So the question is whether it's 25 or 50,' central bank Governor Felipe Medalla told Reuters in an interview.
