THE Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is expanding its services both here and abroad through the establishment of regional offices across the country and additional overseas labor offices in selected overseas locations to better serve the interest of the estimated 10 million overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in at least 200 destination countries around the world.
Migrant Workers Secretary Susan "Toots" Ople disclosed over the week that the expansion of services, among other programs, would be implemented next year with the full constitution of the DMW as a new department following the approval by Congress of its proposed appropriation in the 2023 national budget.
