Continued gains seen ahead of MB meeting

SHARE prices could go higher this week, analysts said, building on gains attributed to upbeat economic news such as stronger-than-expected Philippine growth and slower US inflation.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) closed Friday on a high note, adding 119.2 points, or 1.93 percent, to 6,286.77. The broader All Shares jumped 1.56 percent, or 51.23 points, to settle at 3,328.89.

The results of a Monetary Board policy meeting this Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, are expected to also influence stock market movement. TMT FILE PHOTO
