Defending champ Petro Gazz outlasted Chery Tiggo, 25-14, 24-26, 25-13, 21-25, 15-9, to move on the cusp of a semifinals berth in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

American Lindsey Vander Weide unleashed 29 points on top of 12 excellent digs to lead the way for the Angels, who bounced back from their loss to Cignal last Thursday to rise to the third-best record of four wins and two losses.
