Magnolia Chicken Timplados flaunted its menacing defense once more to subdue Phoenix Super LPG, 90-80 in the 2022-23 PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Serbian import Nicholas Rakocevic and Calvin Abueva led the Hotshots' dominant form, registering double-double performances en route to maintaining their grip of top spot with their tournament-best 7-1 record.
