Cignal fends off Petro Gazz for second straight win

Cignal surprised defending champion Petro Gazz, 25-22, 34-32, 15-25, 16-25, 15-13, for its second straight win in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

American Tai Bierria scored 19 points, 18 on attacks, and logged seven excellent receptions to lead the way for the HD Spikers, who rose to a 3-2 slate, tied with the Angels and the F2 Logistics at third spot in the team standings.
