QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya: More than 15 weavers from the Abel Runruno Indigenous Peoples Organization (Abel-Ripo) here were trained in the basics of handloom weaving to revive the weaving culture in the Philippines which dates back to the 13th century.
Abel-Ripo is a group of weavers who take pride in their masterpieces that exemplify the traditions and culture of the Kalanguya, Kankana-ey, Ibaloi, Tuwali and Ayangan tribes.
