Agri output rebounds in Q3

AGRICULTURE output turned positive in the third quarter, the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Wednesday, raising hopes of a better-than-expected result for the overall economy.

Ahead of today's announcement of third-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) data, the PSA said that agriculture output in value terms had expanded by 1.8 percent in the July-September period, rebounding from the 2.6-percent contraction recorded a year earlier.
