THE number of unemployed Filipinos eased to 2.5 million in September this year, lower than the 2.68 million in August, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday.

The latest Labor Force Survey said that the unemployment rate in the Philippines decreased to 5 percent in September from 5.3 percent in August and 8.9 percent in the same month in 2021. This translated to 1.8 million fewer unemployed individuals.
