Spanish ambassador cites PH 'strong economic fundamentals'

SPAIN's ambassador to the Philippines believes that the Philippines has 'strong economic fundamentals.'

'I would like to seize this opportunity to congratulate the Philippine government for the strong fundamentals the economy has shown,' Spanish Ambassador Miguel Utray said in a speech during the Philippines-Spain Multilateral Partnership forum on Tuesday. 'Not only was the economic growth at record levels, but the fiscal situation as well has proven to withstand the doldrums of the pandemic.'
