PSA adjusts 'palay,' corn output downward

THE country's palay (unmilled rice) and corn production for the third quarter of 2022 has been revised downward based on the standing crop as of Sept. 1, 2022, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Tuesday.

In its Nov. 8, 2022 update, PSA said palay output in July to September could reach by 3.82 million metric tons (MMT) based on the standing crop as of September 1, slightly lower than the August estimate of 3.83 MMT.
