The alarming return of HIV

THE HIV epidemic, which was seen as generally under control through new medical applications such as anti-retroviral drugs, is returning among the young — particularly among young men — in the Asia-Pacific region. This is according to statistics compiled by the United Nations in 2020, with infections rising in the Philippines, Pakistan and Papua New Guinea.
