Every year since 2015, embassies from around the world join the celebration of Week of the Italian Cuisine. In line with the global event's goal — which is to promote the country's culinary traditions and food‐and‐wine connoisseurship — the Italian Embassy in Manila has prepared three meaningful and grounded events around Metro Manila.

'Every year this week is given a theme, and this year the theme is 'Conviviality, sustainability and innovation: the ingredients of Italian cuisine for people's health and the protection of the planet.' For this year's celebration, we thought we'd devote a single different culinary event to each of the three sub-event,' Ambassador Marco Clemente told The Manila Times in a recent interview.
