Defending the Philippines without Uncle Sam

WITH American forces attacking China from our country sure to get us bombed or even nuked, it is imperative to build an independent national defense not tied to the United States. Can it be done?

Of course, it can. Just ask Vietnam. It has no defense treaty with the US and gets nil American military aid. Yet it stands up to China and even fought a war with its nuclear-armed neighbor in 1979.
