JERUSALEM, Undefined: Israel's caretaker Prime Minster Yair Lapid congratulated on Thursday (Friday in Manila) his rival Benjamin Netanyahu on his "victory," conceding defeat two days after the country went to the polls.

Lapid's concession sets the former premier up to form what may be the most right-wing government in Israeli history.
